A circular hiking route with the starting and finishing point at the parking area before the military compound on the road to Vishegrad. You will climb to Mount Vishegrad – the highest point in the Sakar Mountains. There are remains of a fortress at the summit.
Most of the time, you walk along a trail through a deciduous forest. For a short section, the route emerges onto the quiet asphalt road to Lisovo Village, but then leaves it and enters the forest again towards the natural landmark Brasnarskiyat Stol (Golyam Zdravets).

Make sure you have enough water, especially during the warm season. There are no springs along the route.
It is suitable for physically active people. It is recommended to wear shoes with thick treads and carry a backpack with food and water for the day, a hat and a small first-aid kit. Hiking poles are also recommended. As
a general rule for all routes in Southeastern Bulgaria, if there is an electric fence across the trail, there will be a gate left open for passage. Look for it and do not forget to close it behind you. Animals in this area are often kept outdoors, and the electric fence keeps them within the designated grazing area.
