A circular hiking route starting and ending in Madzharovo. The route climbs to the Momina Skala protected area, makes a loop south towards the village of Chernichino and returns to Madzharovo.

Most of the time, you walk along an unpaved dirt road through an oak forest. The route is extremely scenic, with views over the valley of the Arda River, Madzharovo, and the Kovan Kaya, Patronka and Chernata Skala protected areas.

Accents

Take enough water with you, especially during the warm season. There is only one water fountain along the route. You can also replenish your water supplies in Chernichino.

The route is suitable for physically active and well-prepared people. It is recommended to wear shoes with deep treads. In summer, be sure to wear a hat and use insect repellent. Trekking poles are also recommended.
