The festival is organised by Vasil Levski-1933 Community Centre, Kapitan Petko Voyvoda neighbourhood, Svilengrad, and Svilengrad Municipality. It is a two-day event dedicated to old urban songs. Vocal groups from across the country take part.

Participation rules:
The festival is a competition and is held in five categories:
I. Solo performers – two songs within 8 minutes;
II. Duets – two songs within 8 minutes;
III. Quartets – two songs within 8 minutes;
IV. Trios – two songs within 8 minutes;
V. Vocal groups – up to three songs within 10 min
- utes. Participants provide their own musical accompaniment.
- Stage costumes should preferably reflect the spirit of the period.
- All participants receive certificates of participation in the festival.
