Every third Saturday in October, Topolovgrad hosts a true celebration of nature in all its forms – from biodiversity to farm products. The Eastern Imperial Eagle of Sakar brings together people, food and crafts in one place. Highlights of the festival include a farmers’ market, a culinary bazaar and creative workshops. Wineries and farmers from the region, community centres and local craftspeople take part, while a traditional local dish is cooked in a large cauldron and shared with visitors for tasting.
The main stage features performances by amateur groups from Sakar and Strandzha, showcasing their customs and folklore. The one-day event concludes with a concert by a popular performer.
