It is located southwest of Matochina village and is marked on Google Maps. Dating from the 10th century, it was carved into a huge rock rising above the plain. The church was carved directly into the rock using only hand tools. Traces of features with a cultic purpose dating from the Thracian period have also been preserved in the rock.
It has been declared a cultural monument of national significance. There is a directional sign, as well as an information board at the entrance to the church.
