It is located in the centre of Harmanli. It was built in the 16th century by the architect Mimar Sinan and is one of the examples of Ottoman architecture in Bulgaria. The key battle for the liberation of Harmanli in 1878 took place at Hunchback Bridge. There is no river flowing beneath the bridge today. There was a project to build a canal for recreation and sports, but due to an error in the hydraulic engineering calculations, the canal cannot be filled with water. Today there is a bridge and canal walls, but no water in the canal.
